Baby Elephant

Baby elephants are incredibly cute and playful, and it's a joy to witness their innocent, energetic interactions with each other and their family members. Did you know their gestation period lasts up to 22 months? That's just amazing! When they're born, they weigh about 90 kg and are covered in hair, which falls off as they grow. At birth, they also have no idea what their trunk is for, often seen swinging it around, stepping on it, or lifting it up. By around 8 months of age, they usually figure it out. The herd is fiercely protective of their young, and while the babies are free to explore, if they cry out in distress, the entire herd will rush to comfort and protect them. Who doesn't love baby elephants? They're just irresistible!
